Over the last several months, it has been a privilege to work alongside exceptional teams in Rwanda, Kenya, Eritrea, Ghana, Ethiopia, Botswana, Nigeria, South Africa. The progress being made on the Bio Usawa project is a reflection of three critical ingredients: People, Partnerships, and Progress.

A special thank you to Ganza Construction and Harena Engineering for their outstanding work, and to PETI for their valued collaboration and technical support. Alongside the Bio Usawa team, these partners have tackled ambitious timelines, complex technical requirements, and the day-to-day challenges that come with building advanced biomanufacturing infrastructure from the ground up.

What stands out most is the quality, dedication, and ingenuity of the local teams leading this effort. Their professionalism and commitment continue to demonstrate that Africa has the expertise and capability to deliver world-class biotechnology, infrastructure, and advanced manufacturing projects.

I would also like to recognize the Rwanda Development Board (RDB). Experiencing Rwanda's single-point-of-contact approach firsthand has been remarkable. The responsiveness, coordination, and focus on enabling solutions rather than creating bureaucracy have helped maintain momentum and ensure challenges are addressed quickly and collaboratively.

With most of our new biomanufacturing equipment now in Rwanda, we have reached another major milestone. What once seemed an ambitious vision is rapidly taking shape. As we move closer to our next showcase, Bio Usawa's mission to provide high-quality, affordable monoclonal antibodies to patients across Africa feels more achievable than ever.

The road ahead is not an easy one. But with the incredible talent, dedication, and resilience of our teams, coupled with strong institutional support, I have no doubt that we will overcome every challenge and bring this vision to life.
